Leyland Trade Acrylic Primer Undercoat White

A general purpose water-based primer undercoat, suitable for interior and exterior bare timber surfaces. In addition to offering easy, low odour application, it is quick drying, enabling two or three coats to be applied in one day.

What coverage will I get from Leyland Trade Acrylic Primer Undercoat?

1 litre will cover approximately 13 square metres, depending on the nature and porosity of the surface. Under normal conditions, touch dry within 30 minutes, re-coatable after 1 to 2 hours.

How should I prepare my surface(s)?

Ensure surface to be painted is sound, clean, dry and free from grease. Rub down bare timber surfaces with fine waterproof abrasive paper to remove raised grain and sharp edges. Apply Knotting Solution to knots and resinous surfaces. Rub down previously painted surfaces with fine waterproof abrasive paper to provide a key. Avoid the inhalation of dust. Wear a suitable face mask if dry sanding.

How do I apply Leyland Trade Acrylic Primer Undercoat?

Stir well before use. Apply by brush or roller. Apply liberally, brushing firmly into the surface. Treat all accessible timber, in particular the end grain. A second coat serves as an excellent undercoat for Leyland Gloss Finish. Do not apply when the temperature is below 10?C or externally when rain is imminent.
