Our Origins –
The PaintWell brand derives from the evolution of two much loved brands, Bromborough Paints and Trade1st to bring an extensive range that you’ve come to expect in a decorators’ merchant.
In 1948 Harry Wellings established Bromborough Paints, selling paint and wallcoverings from a modest local corner shop based on the Wirral and through his sheer hard work, determination and high levels of service, the business was able to grow. Over the years, the company has gone from strength to strength to become the largest independent decorators’ merchant in the North West.
In 2015 the company acquired the e-commerce website www.trade1st.co.uk, this allowed us to supply our quality products not just in the North West but throughout the UK.
Fast forward to today, PaintWell combines all the best principles of Bromborough Paints and Trade1st – Independent, Huge range of stock and fantastic service to be the number one choice for painting and decorating supplies.
