How should I prepare my surface(s)?
Ensure surface to be painted is sound, clean, dry and free from grease. Rub down the bare timber surfaces with dry glasspaper to remove raised grain and sharp edges. Avoid the inhalation of dust. Wear a suitable face mask if dry sanding. Apply Knotting Solution to knots and resinous areas, and allow to dry thoroughly.
How do I apply Leyland Trade Alkali Resisting Wall Primer?
Stir well before use. Suitable for application by brush or roller. Apply liberally, working firmly into the surface and laying off in the line of the grain. Take care to treat all accessible timber particularly the end grain. Allow to dry thoroughly before applying the relevant undercoat and finishing paint
