Leyland Trade Fast Drying Undercoat Dark Grey - 2.5 Litres

Leyland Fast Drying Undercoat has been specially developed to work with Leyland Trade Fast Drying High Gloss. A quick drying, high performance undercoat for interior and exterior suitably primed metal and a combined primer and undercoat for interior and exterior wood. The non yellowing formula benefits from excellent flow and is both fast drying and low odour ensuring easy application and minimal downtime.

What coverage will I get from Leyland Trade Fast Drying Undercoat?

1 litre will cover approximately 13 square metres, depending on the nature and porosity of the surface. Strong or contrasting colours may require additional coats

How should I prepare my surface(s)?

Ensure surface to be painted is sound, clean, dry and free from grease. Rub down bare timber surfaces with fine waterproof abrasive paper to remove raised grain and sharp edges. Apply Knotting Solution to knots and resinous surfaces. Rub down sound previously gloss painted surfaces with fine waterproof abrasive paper to provide a key. Avoid the inhalation of dust. Wear a suitable face mask if dry sanding. Prime where required with the appropriate Leyland Primer.

How do I apply Leyland Trade Fast Drying Undercoat?

Stir well before use. Apply by brush or roller. Apply liberally, brushing firmly into the surface. Treat all accessible timber, in particular the end grain. Allow 1-2 hours before applying a second coat if required. Conditions of low temperature or high humidity can prolong the drying time. Do not apply when air or surface temperature is below 10°C or externally when rain is imminent.
