Rustins Wood Bleach Set Clear - 500ml

Two pack bleaching kit for wood based on stabilised Hydrogen Peroxide. For use on bare wood to make it white or lighter in colour. Removes weather stains and discolourations. After bleaching Rustin's Wood Dye may be applied followed by any of the Rustins varnishes or oils to seal the wood. For oil based and polyurethane varnishes, French Polish or wax finishes after bleaching the surface must be washed with a solution of Acetic acid (white vinegar), 1 teaspoon in a cup of water. Apply liberally and allow to dry. If Rustin's Plastic Coating is to be applied after bleaching, wash the surface with a solution of spirits and salts (hydrochloric acid), 1 part to 7 parts water. Apply liberally and allow to dry. If a white deposit is still evident repeat this process. If Rustins Quick Dry Varnish is used do not use white vinegar or spirits of salt but wash thoroughly with water and allow to dry before coating.

• Product Application: Apply solution "A" to clean, dry wood with a brush and leave for 10-20 minutes before applying the "B" solution. Some woods will darken when "A" solution is applied. The actual bleaching takes place after application of "B" solution
• Touch Dry: After application of "B" solution leave for a minimum of 2 hours. If the product dries out it can form crystals which can be very difficult to remove so ensure sufficient solution is applied to prevent drying out
• Recoatable: If the wood is very dark or badly stained, repeat application of both solutions after 2 hours
