Surface Preparation

Ensure surfaces are free from oil, grease, and other contaminants. Remove loose rust, mill scale, and coatings by scraping, wire brushing, or sanding. Clean surfaces thoroughly before application. For galvanised, zinc, and aluminium surfaces, use Rust-Oleum CombiPrimer Tack Coat 3302 before applying CombiColor.

Application Instructions

Stir thoroughly before use to ensure uniformity. Apply using a brush, roller, or air-atomised spray:

• Brush: Thin with up to 10% Rust-Oleum Thinner 7301. Use natural bristle, long hair brushes.
• Roller: Thin with up to 10% Rust-Oleum Thinner 7301. Use short nap, polyamide 6-12 mm rollers. Roller application may require two coats for optimal coverage.
• Air-Atomised Spray: Thin with 10-25% Rust-Oleum Thinner 7301. Use a gravity cup or pressure cup with a tip size of 1.0 - 1.5 mm and an atomising pressure of 2 - 4 bar.

Application Conditions

Ensure the air, substrate, and coating material temperatures are between 5°C and 35°C, with a relative humidity below 85%. The substrate temperature must be at least 3°C above the dew point.
