Sadolin Quick Dry Woodstain – Quick Drying, Long-Lasting Exterior Wood Stain with Six Year Protection
Sadolin Quick Dry Woodstain is a tough, water-based wood stain which has been specially formulated to provide long-lasting colour and six years’ protection from the elements to exterior wood, with a durable, translucent semi-gloss finish.
This unique, quick-drying stain offers rainproof protection within just 20 minutes of application, and its hardwearing formulation prevents the flaking and peeling of wood surfaces.
Protective Treatment and Colour for Exterior Woodwork Around Your Home
Suitable for most exterior wooden surfaces, this water-based wood stain dries extremely quickly, rendering exterior wood rainproof within just 20 minutes of application and touch dry within an hour. The advanced formulation of our Quick Dry Woodstain offers the convenience of being able to complete a job within a day, saving you time without compromising on performance or protection.
A short drying time is not the only advantage of this product, Sadolin Quick Dry Woodstain is also an excellent wood treatment, offering six years’ superior protection from the elements, enhancing the natural beauty of the wood, and helping to prevent flaking, peeling, and blistering.
This product is ideal for use on most external wood surfaces around the home, including exterior wooden doors, window frames and sills, wooden conservatories, garden buildings, cladding, garden furniture, soffits and fascias.
Note: Sadolin Quick Dry Woodstain is not suitable for use with wooden decking. For decking, or other surfaces subject to heavy wear or abrasion, we would recommend Sadolin Decking Stain and Protector.
PREPARATION:
We always recommend a trial application on a small inconspicuous area before you start. The final colour and coverage will depend on the original colour and condition of the wood and the number of coats applied. For best results we recommend the following guidelines.
NEW / BARE WOOD: Timber exposed for 4 weeks or more will require sanding to a clean sound surface. Ensure that surfaces are clean and dry. Wipe over bare wood with a cloth dampened with methylated spirit. If using a non durable timber treat first with Sadolin Quick Dry Wood Preserver.
PREVIOUSLY PAINTED OR VARNISHED SURFACES: Strip bare and treat as new wood.
PREVIOUSLY WOODSTAINED SURFACES: Ensure that surfaces are clean and dry. Previously woodstained surfaces in good condition should only need to be washed down with warm water and detergent, rinsed with clean water and allowed to dry before application. For surfaces in poor condition, remove any loose material by brushing with a stiff bristle (non-metallic) brush and remove any grey, denatured timber by mechanically sanding in the direction of the grain. Finally wash down as above. As with all coatings preparation is key and poor preparation will result in poor coating performance.
APPLICATION:
Stir thoroughly before and during application. Always intermix packs to ensure colour consistency.
New / bare wood: 2 - 3 coats
Previously woodstained: 1 - 2 coats
Subsequent maintenance: 1 - 2 coats
For best results use a good quality synthetic bristle brush. Work quickly using the minimum number of strokes. Do not apply at temperatures below 8ËšC or above 25ËšC, when rain is imminent or in damp conditions."
