Sandtex® One Coat Exterior Gloss
This tough, weatherproof multi-surface paint from Sandtex® provides complete coverage and a high-gloss finish to all exterior wood and metal surfaces with just one coat.
With no need for an undercoat, our drip-resistant formula means this exterior paint is easy to apply and ideal for brightening up pre-painted woodwork and primed metal, delivering an eye-catching glossy finish. This wipeable paint is perfect for giving a new lease of life to outdoor wood and metal features, including doors, window frames, fences, sheds and garden furniture.
All products in the Sandtex® One Coat Exterior Gloss range are packaged in fully recyclable materials.

PREPARATION: All surfaces must be clean, dry and free from dirt, grease or surface contamination. Previously painted wood and metal surfaces must be thoroughly abraded to provide suitable adhesion. Avoid the inhalation of dust. Wear a suitable face mask if dry sanding. Fill all voids and gaps with a suitable exterior filler. No undercoat required on previously painted surfaces.
For bare wood: Ensure wood is dry and treat knots and resinous parts with a knotting solution. Prime with one coat of Sandtex® 10 Year Primer Undercoat before applying Sandtex One Coat Exterior Gloss. For metal surfaces: Apply a suitable metal primer followed by Sandtex® One Coat Exterior Gloss.
Special precautions should be taken during surface preparation of pre-1960’s paint surfaces as they may contain harmful lead. For further advice contact the manufacturer.
APPLICATION: If there is any surface film the paint may be stirred. Load the brush generously. Apply evenly and avoid overspreading. If overpainting strong colours a second coat may be necessary. Allow at least 16 hours drying time between coats. If you’re using more than one pack of paint in the same area, mix together in a large container to ensure you get consistency of colour. Please check for colour accuracy prior to application. Crown Paints is not liable for decorating costs caused as a result of an incorrect colour being applied. Do not apply if there is a risk of rain or frost or if the temperature is likely to fall below 8°C during drying.
