Rustin's Knotting is based on pure shellac and alcohol; it is naturally brown in colour. White Knotting is also available which is made with bleached shellac. Fast drying. Prevents discolouration of paints. For interior and exterior use. Most types of oil-based wood primers may be applied over Knotting, including Rustins Wood Primer (Pink, White and Aluminium) and knotting-compatible water-based coatings. If the knot needs filling, apply Rustins Woodfiller and sand smooth before applying Knotting.
