Sadolin Quick Drying Wood Preserver – Quick-Drying Wood Preserver for Interior and Exterior Bare and New Timber
Sadolin Quick Drying Wood Preserver offers long-lasting protection for interior and exterior wooden surfaces. An ideal pre-treatment when preparing wood for painting or staining, this water-based wood preservative is suitable for use on interior and exterior untreated timber.
Our advanced formulation dries quickly and provides resistance to fungal decay and surface mould, ensuring your wood stays protected for longer.
Wood Preservative for Interior and Exterior Bare and Untreated Timber
When using untreated wood for a DIY or home improvement project it is vital not to cut corners on the preparation stage. Untreated (also known as rough sawn) timber is an organic product in its natural state, which means it offers no protection against environmental conditions.
The great British weather can cause the first of many problems. Used outside, wet untreated wood quickly becomes a breeding ground for mould and fungus which will cause the wood to decay over time. Even indoors, bare wood surfaces are not always immune to this problem.
Specially designed for use on interior and exterior bare and untreated timber, Sadolin Quick Drying Wood Preserver can be applied by brushing or dipping and is easily absorbed into the surface of the wood. This water-based wood preserver will not corrode metal fixings, and its quick drying properties mean surfaces are ready to be overcoated just 24 hours after application.
Sadolin Quick Drying Wood Preserver is a clear wood treatment, so is perfect for use prior to the application of exterior wood stains and paints. This advanced product offers long-lasting protection to new and untreated timber, as well as resistance to fungal decay and surface mould.
PREPARATION:
Sadolin Quick Dry Wood Preserver is ready for use and must not be thinned. Grey denatured timber should be mechanically sanded back to a clean, sound surface.
APPLICATION:
Two coats are recommended. Always apply to dry timber. Do not apply in damp conditions or if rain is imminent. For best results, use a synthetic bristle brush. Stir well before and during application. Apply the first coat liberally, ensuring complete saturation of the timber. Special care should be taken to ensure any end grain is thoroughly treated.
