Sandtex® 10 Year Exterior Gloss

This durable multi-surface exterior gloss paint from Sandtex® provides an ultra-glossy weatherproof finish to exterior surfaces with up to 10 years' trusted protection against the elements.

Sandtex® 10 Year Exterior Gloss is long-lasting and versatile, making it the perfect choice for transforming outdoor wood, metal and PVCu surfaces. Whether you are looking to brighten up your doors and window frames or make a statement with your garden planters, this wipeable paint gives complete coverage and protection to many surfaces outside the home.

Our solvent-based gloss has a superior, flexible paint formulation which helps to prevent peeling and cracking, making it ideal for giving a durable, mirror-shine to many exterior features including doors, windows, gates, railings, garden sheds and playhouses.

All products in the Sandtex® 10 Year Exterior Gloss range are packaged in fully recyclable materials.

PREPARATION: All surfaces must be clean, dry and free from dirt, grease or surface contamination.  Previously painted wood and metal surfaces must be thoroughly abraded to provide suitable adhesion.  Avoid the inhalation of dust.  Wear a suitable face mask if dry sanding.  Fill all voids and gaps with a suitable exterior filler.  Apply one coat of Sandtex 10 year Primer Undercoat, followed by one or two coats of Sandtex 10 year Exterior Gloss.  

For bare wood: Ensure wood is dry and treat knots and resinous parts with a knotting solution.  Apply one coat of Sandtex 10 year Primer Undercoat, followed by one or two coats of Sandtex 10 year Exterior Gloss. 

Special precautions should be taken during surface preparation of pre-1960's paint surfaces as they may contain harmful lead.  For further advice contact the manufacturer.  Do not apply if there is a risk of rain or frost or if the temperature is likely to fall below 8°C during drying.

APPLICATION: Stir thoroughly before use.  If you're using more than one pack of paint in the same area, mix together in a large container to ensure you get consistency of colour.  Please always check for colour accuracy prior to application.  Always intermix packs for colour consistency.  Apply by brush.  Apply evenly and avoid overspreading.  For best results 2 coats are recommended.  Allow at least 16 hours drying time between coats.  Clean brushes immediately after use with a proprietary cleaner.  This product will provide up to 10 years protection provided the above instructions are fully carried out under normal conditions and that the substrate is sound.
