Sandtex® One Coat Exterior Satin
This tough, multi-surface paint from Sandtex® offers complete coverage and a soft satin finish to exterior wood and metal surfaces with just one coat.
With no need for an undercoat, our drip-resistant formula means this exterior paint is easy to apply and provides a bright, beautiful satin finish. Perfect for rejuvenating pre-painted woodwork and primed metal, this wipeable paint breathes life into doors, window frames, fences and many more outdoor home and garden surfaces.
All products in the Sandtex® One Coat Exterior Satin range are packaged in fully recyclable materials.

PREPARATION: All surfaces must be clean, dry and free from dirt, grease or surface contamination. Previously painted wood and metal surfaces must be thoroughly abraded to provide suitable adhesion. Avoid the inhalation of dust. Wear a suitable face mask if dry sanding. Fill all voids and gaps with a suitable exterior filler. No undercoat required on previously painted surfaces.
For bare wood: Ensure wood is dry and treat knots and resinous parts with a knotting solution. Prime with one coat of Sandtex 10 year Primer Undercoat before applying Sandtex One Coat Exterior Satin.
For metal surfaces: Apply a suitable metal primer followed by Sandtex One Coat Exterior Satin.
Special precautions should be taken during surface preparation of pre-1960's paint surfaces as they may contain harmful lead.
APPLICATION: Stir thoroughly. Load the brush generously. Apply evenly and avoid overspreading. If overpainting strong colours a second coat may be necessary. Allow at least 16 hours drying time between coats. If you're using more than one pack of paint in the same area, mix together in a large container to ensure you get consistency of colour. Please check for colour accuracy prior to application. Do not apply if there is a risk of rain or frost or if the temperature is likely to fall below 8°C during drying. Wash with proprietary cleaner immediately after use.
