Painting Instructions

Preparation:

For new wood: Ensure the wood is dry and in good condition. Smooth and round off sharp edges. Apply one coat of Sandtex Trade Flexible Primer Undercoat. For previously painted surfaces: All surfaces must be clean, dry, and free from anything that may hinder adhesion. Wash with warm water and allow to dry. Abrade with wet and dry abrasive paper to remove surface contamination and provide a suitable base. Take precautions to avoid inhaling dust, and wear a suitable face mask if dry sanding.

Application:

Thoroughly stir the paint before use. Apply evenly and generously with a brush or roller, avoiding overspreading. Apply one or two coats of Sandtex Trade Flexigloss X-Tra as needed. Some strong colors may require an additional coat to ensure complete coverage. If redecorating with the same color, Sandtex Trade Flexible Primer Undercoat is not necessary. Do not apply when the air or substrate temperature is likely to fall below 5°C or when the relative humidity is above 80% during application or drying.
