Painting Instructions
PREPARATION
New surfaces generally require minimal preparation. However, any faults in old surfaces should be rectified. Pay attention to areas prone to moisture penetration. Repair minor defects with Sandtex Trade Exterior Easiplast. Ensure all surfaces are clean, dry, and free from anything that may hinder adhesion. Wet abrade sound gloss paint for a better key. Avoid inhaling dust and use a suitable face mask for dry sanding. For further advice, consult the manufacturer. Remove loose or flaking material by scraping and brushing with a stiff bristle brush (not wire). Eliminate organic growth by scraping or brushing with a stiff bristle brush (not wire) and applying Sandtex Trade Fungicide as instructed. Brush down and treat chalking, weathered, and porous surfaces with Sandtex Trade Stabilising Solution. Allow at least 16 hours before painting.
APPLICATION
Stir well before use. Apply using a masonry paint brush, exterior roller, or airless spray. For maximum durability, it's recommended to apply two coats of Sandtex Trade X-Treme X-Posure Masonry Paint. Avoid applying when there is a risk of rain, frost, or if the temperature will fall below 7ºC during application and drying. Note: If necessary, Sandtex Trade X-Treme X-Posure can be thinned by up to 10% with clean water for airless spray application (21 thou tip 65º angle). On new surfaces, apply a diluted mist coat with up to 40% volume of clean water, followed by two full coats.
Wash Care
After use, wash equipment with clean, cold water.
