Bromborough Paints and Trade1st have Rebranded to become PaintWell!

Alongside our sister brand Bromborough paints we will bring all of our brands together into one company, creating consistency across the website and 19 strong branch network.

The company will of course retain its famed online service, support and product range. This will now be coupled with our stores which are local, independent decorators’ merchant with a huge range, strong stock availability and great service.

“We plan to open more branches so we can take our outstanding range and specialist advice to new towns and cities across the North West, Yorkshire and the Midlands,” said Stuart Slocombe, PaintWell’s Managing Director. “We are also investing heavily in our online business, bringing together our successful Trade 1st and Bromborough Paints brands into a single new website, which truly reflects our range and stock, with a great user experience.”

“Bromborough Paints and Trade1st will evolve to PaintWell – keeping our heritage blue and our logo but with a name that gives us plenty of scope for growth. No matter where a customer shops with PaintWell, they’ll find the same independent approach and great service that they’ve enjoyed from Bromborough and Trade1st. It’s a new name for the same great company.”

Bromborough Paints and Trade1st benefited from investment from Cairngorm Capital earlier in 2021, enabling it to build on its historic achievements and invest in its branches, people and service.

From 22 November, visitors to Trade 1st and Bromborough Paints’ websites will be delivered to a new website - PaintWell.co.uk - with a huge range of paints, wallcoverings and accessories from all major manufacturers. The new name has been embraced by colleagues who are enjoying new uniforms, a new livery for stores and on vans, and in offers to customers.

For trade customers, PaintWell will also offer a comprehensive industrial paints range comprising paint, fire protections, cladding coverings, floor and roof decorating products to contractors nationwide.

“I’ve been so impressed by our colleagues,” said Stuart Slocombe. “They really embody what it means to be a ‘local independent’ with great expertise and great service. The Bromborough Paints brand has been in operation for over 70 years so we have evolved it sensitively to preserve that heritage. I look forward now to taking the same great service to customers old and new as PaintWell.”

The first opportunity to see the new PaintWell brand in action will be at The National Painting and Decorating Show, on 23 and 24 November, in Coventry.
