Sandtex® Rapid Dry Plus Primer Undercoat
Using advanced water-based technology, this quick-drying primer undercoat from Sandtex® forms a tough foundation ready for application of gloss or satin paint to exterior wood and metal surfaces; perfect for use outside the home and in the garden.
Sandtex® Rapid Dry Plus Primer Undercoat is a water-based primer undercoat that combines the traditional qualities of a solvent-based product with a quick-drying, low-odour application. This primer undercoat creates a smooth base ideal for application of Sandtex® Rapid Dry Plus Gloss or Satin Paint to exterior wood and metal surfaces such as doors, windows, gates, railings, garden sheds, planters, playhouses and many other home and garden features.
All products in the Sandtex® Rapid Dry Plus range are packaged in fully recyclable materials.

Our Rapid Dry Plus Primer Undercoat can be used as both a bare wood and metal surface primer and as an undercoat for primed or pre-painted surfaces, removing the need for two separate products and helping you to save time and money.
This multi-surface primer undercoat provides a great foundation for applying darker paint colours to exterior wood and metal, giving gloss and satin paint a rich depth and beautiful finish with no loss of colour.

PREPARATION: Ensure all surfaces are sound, dry, clean and free from dirt, oil, grease or other contamination. For new or burnt off woodwork, rub down the surface with glass paper to a smooth finish and treat any knots and resinous parts with knotting solution. Previously painted surfaces should be thoroughly washed and abraded to provide a key, rinse with clean water and allow to dry. Avoid the inhalation of dust. Wear a suitable face mask if dry sanding. APPLICATION: Stir thoroughly before use. Apply liberally and evenly by synthetic brush or good quality medium pile roller. Do not use in temperatures below 8°C or high humidity. Wash brushes & equipment in clean water.
