Sandtex Trade Rust Inhibiting Primer Undercoat - Grey 2.5 Litre

Sandtex® Trade Rust Inhibiting Primer Undercoat is a specially formulated product designed to provide excellent rust protection for exterior metal surfaces. With its advanced solvent-based formulation, this primer undercoat not only inhibits rust but also enhances adhesion, creating a solid foundation for paint application.

Painting Instructions

PREPARATION

New Surfaces: Use a hot water and liquid detergent solution to wash away oil, grease, or any other contaminants, changing the water frequently. Follow the manufacturer's guidelines for galvanized steel. Rinse thoroughly with clean water and allow to dry.

Previously Decorated Surfaces: Remove any loose, flaking, or questionable paint. Feather the edges of sound paint. Eliminate all rust. Spot prime base areas with Sandtex Trade Rust Inhibiting Primer Undercoat. Clean the remaining sound paint with a hot water and liquid detergent solution, changing the water frequently. Provide a key by wet abrasion. Avoid inhaling dust, and wear a suitable face mask if dry sanding. Rinse with clean water to remove all residues. Allow to dry. Bring forward spot primed areas as required using the Sandtex Trade system to be used.

Wash Care

Use a proprietary cleaner to wash the equipment.
