Painting Instructions
PREPARATION
When working on new surfaces, minimal preparation is usually required. However, any faults in old surfaces must be rectified, paying attention to areas prone to moisture penetration. All surfaces must be clean, dry, and free from any substances that may hinder proper adhesion. Gloss surfaces should be sanded to create a suitable base. For loose or flaking material, remove them by scraping or brushing until you reach a firm and solid surface. Organic growth should be eliminated by scraping or brushing with a stiff bristle brush, followed by applying Sandtex Fungicidal Wash as instructed by the manufacturer. Chalking, weathered, and porous surfaces should be brushed down and treated with Sandtex Trade Solvent Based Stabilising Solution prior to applying Sandtex Trade 365 All Weather Masonry Paint.
APPLICATION
For consistent color, always intermix packs and stir thoroughly before use. Apply the paint generously and evenly using a brush, roller, or airless spray. A 4" brush is recommended for brush application. On textured surfaces, it is advisable to use a roller (synthetic long pile fabric roller or lambswool roller) or opt for spray application. Clean brushes and equipment immediately after use with a suitable proprietary cleaner.
Wash Care
After use, clean your equipment with a proprietary cleaner to ensure its longevity and optimal performance.
